I moved to Yorkshire from Essex in 1992 where occasional visits to the Severn started my love of barbel. BFW re-kindled an interest in fishing, and in the last couple of years I've started to fish the local River Calder and the Wharfe. Update August 04 : Had barbel from the Calder, Nidd and Wharfe now and enjoying fishing as much as anytime in the past. Update August 05: It's been the Trent for me this year and it's going well. Determined to come to terms with the challenges on the tidal as the place is just awesome.
